(Run 29/04/09)

Date: Friday, 31.01.2070

It was Sam that contacted Ishmael, looking for the Lizard Kings.  Sam had become an arms dealer since leaving the military and had come in contact with an Ork named Myxomatosis of an Oxley-based gang named the Hells.  Myxomatosis was apparently looking for a group of 'Runners to help him with a potential job, and since his gang had been very loyal customers, he had promised them he'd see what he could do.

The Lizard Kings met with Myxomatosis at Uncle Tony's, again much to Adamar's distaste.  This time, Monkey as well had reservations although not about the venue.  His gang, the Brisbane Kings, had had some run ins with the Hells and although he had nothing against Myxomatosis there was still an important rivalry to maintain.  In fact, he managed to stare down a Hells Troll outside the club, although Monkey's new dog Backup was a little less confident.

After panicking some of the team by pretending to be Ottmeyer, Sharp and Ishmael sat to talk to Myxomatosis.  According to the leader of the Hells, they had been for some time dealing guns and equipment to one of the nomadic gangs that roamed the Outback, the Humungous, in exchange for what they managed to rip off the NeoStations that were built in the wake of the disappearance of the Mana Storms.

The most recent deal revealed some interesting information.  AComSol was operating a secret facility in Brisbane that contained a new weapon, designated W4/1F.  It was this weapon that Myxomatosis wanted, and he was willing to pay a large amount for some expert help in obtaining it.  They were welcome to take whatever else they wanted, and to use his gang as cannon fodder, as long as they got out with the weapon and delivered it to him.

Some tense negotiation followed with Sharp skilfully beating him up to 120,000 nuyen for the Run.  From there, it was a matter of making plans to get into the facility.

Located at Kangaroo Point, apparently once used as some sort of temple or place of worship, the facility was now an unassuming concrete building that Doozer was sure would have hefty inside security.  Without much detail on what lay inside, nor on what the W4/1F exactly was, they knew they needed some recon first.

While Sharp, Ishmael and Doozer discussed possibilities of getting their adaptive Adepts inside, possibly posing as security guards, Monkey decided to throw a wild party, convincing his gang to give him a hand if necessary, since that area was technically Brisbane Kings turf.  Adamar, on the other hand, had been visited by an apparition in the club needing to speak to him, so he excused himself to go on a dinner date.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the reservation, and, annoyed, he magically influenced the thoughts of the manager, only to be caught doing so.  Leaving quickly he met up with the apparition, which he had worked out was an Astral form manifestation, outside.  She introduced herself as Mourn, the woman from the unknown team they had left unconscious on the boat two weeks ago.  She apologised for not appearing in person as she was unable to return to her body, and went on to explain that her team had been investigating AComSol and had thought that Ottmeyer would have the information they needed.  It appeared he did not.  Adamar did not seem very impressed with her, trusting her not at all, and she departed with just a warning that if he were to go in, to "watch the astral".

Finally a plan had been worked out.  Doozer would hack into AComSol's HR network and have a memo transferring an internal security overseer, a Mr Julian Sanderson, to the facility.  Ishmael would, with all the vital information lifted from the network, infiltrate Mr Sanderson's house, neutralise him, and secure the area for Sharp to take over his identity.  Thus disguised, Sharp would enter the facility, scout the place out, and then return with the information necessary to formulate a proper plan for stealing the W4/1F.

Ishmael's elite training allowed him to enter the corporate suburban compound and break into the house.  A quick strike before Mr Sanderson could even turn his head to notice the intrusion knocked him out, but Ishmael was forced to kill his dog as it came running up the stairs.  This of course led to the veterinarians for the company calling Mr Sanderson as Brutus' Bio-Monitor seemed to be playing up.  But Sharp had arrived and calmly handled the situation.

And, so, on a bright new morning, Sharp (with a suitcase full of dead dog to dispose of) stepped into Mr Sanderson's car and began the drive to his new workplace.  As he did so, Doozer, via a traffic camera he had hacked in to, noticed an odd symbol subtly placed in the stone of the facility's wall.  It looked like an asterisk, but with the vertical line replaced by three dots...
