Date: Saturday, 18.01.2070

With no sign of Mr Roderick doing anything, the Watcher spirit Adamar had summoned promptly ended its service and he decided to return to his room to slip into something more comfortable - his own body.

The first thing he noticed when he returned to the Meridian's suite was how untidy his clothes were left when he shapechanged.  The next thing was that Ottmeyer was gone.  The bed was empty and there was no sign of him in the room.  A panicked round of commlink communication followed as they tried to work out what had happened.

By the time the cops finally showed up at the Wavefront, Sharp - disguised as Ottmeyer - was downstairs having his breakfast.  Adamar had made his way back and followed them into the foyer to watch them very quietly enter the relaxation spa section of the Wavefront.  From the cameras, Doozer could see them talking to an upset young girl in a masseuse's outfit and there appeared to be someone lying on the floor.  As he couldn't work out who it was due to the fact a dirty great cop had his head in the way of the camera, Ishmael volunteered to sneak around the side to get some better intel.

Almost discovered peering in through the glass, Ishmael managed to confirm that the body was not Ottmeyer, and was in fact no one they recognised.  A quick data search by Doozer confirmed that he didn't appear to be anyone out of the ordinary.  Adamar wandered around invisible to eavesdrop and picked up the fact that the cops were going to cover everything up, but were sick and tired of having to do so.

Monkey, using his boosted olfactory senses, followed the girl and picked up traces of a drug known as Friendly Fire (also known as Slaps and Greycake amongst others).  A nasty and cheap drug with an infamously variable potency it could sometimes provoke violent behaviour and was thoroughly easy to OD on.  But by the time he was working up the right way to approach asking her out, Ishmael needed him to try and track Ottmeyer from his window at the Meridian.

The first thing they discovered was a black backpack strap that, had Sharp or Adamar been there, would have been immediately identified as belonging to Smiles, the head of the previous team who the day before had jumped out the window.  A strong scent of perhaps female Troll was picked up by Monkey, and then the covert ops expert and the ork wearing a parachute began to try and track the trail of Ottmeyer - or at least his kidnappers.

Unfortunately, the trail quickly ran cold as they reached the edge of the small seaside tourist town.

Options were running out and things made worse when Mr Roderick finally came down for breakfast.  Sharp elected to solve this problem by impersonating Ottmeyer and running around in a maddened state yelling, "I am the Lizard King!"  Attempts at pursuit were understandably foiled when Sharp returned to his original appearance and "Ottmeyer" was nowhere to be found.

The deadlock in how to proceed was finally broken by Doozer's receipt of an anonymous email.  Signed PrincessMay the email simply informed Doozer that "they" had Ottmeyer on a yacht off Port Douglas.  With the troops reassembled, they made their way further north to hunt down the other team and recapture Ottmeyer.

Along the way, Doozer's driving talent managed to avoid a serious rock fall on the cliff-side road.  Adamar elected to scout the situation, only to be blindsided by an Earth Elemental.  Fleeing back to his body, Adamar summoned a Fire Elemental to assist him in a particularly spooky and eerie summoning ritual.

Ishmael took charge of the team, utilising his training in special ops to move the team from the van into cover and observe the yacht from a distance.  A number of different strategies were discussed until it was decided that Sharp and Monkey would hire a small vessel to drive out to the yacht and board it.  The concern that the other team presumably knew they were coming was swiftly forgotten as soon as Sharp introduced Monkey - in his chaps - to the boat-hire man as his "partner".

Piling on board, the team powered the small boat toward the yacht.  Gunfire from the rear of the yacht suddenly roared out and bullets began flying.  Monkey was hit hard by some sort of sniper hiding amongst the large number of boxes on the back of the yacht and was forced to use his adrenal gland enhancement to keep going.

The two boats collided, the captain of the yacht trying to gun his engines for escape.  A familiar scent accosted Monkey's nose as a large troll stepped out and ran alongside the yacht looking for a chance to jump aboard.  She was rewarded with withering gunfire from Monkey that cause her to miss her step and plunge overboard.

Glass shattered as the team took down the captain, Doozer ducking for cover as he tried to manoeuvre the boat into position, Ishmael readying his pistol and a grenade, and Sharp throwing bullets.  Another burst from Monkey finally killed the sniper, and he and Ishmael leaped aboard to continue the carnage.

Is this all of the other team?  Is Ottmeyer okay?  Does the team realise that they can still be easily seen from the shore?
