Trading the major against Rachelle had been on my mind almost as soon as we left the previous session, but I kind of felt honour-bound not to discuss it OOC. I had other ideas, like taking out the nazis while we were still top side ("Trooper, present that Schmeisser for inspection!" "Yes, captain." "Thank you." Dakka dakka dakka dakka... "Lesson, trooper - always unload the weapon prior to inspection.") but that kind of went pear-shaped.
As for the journal - I was kind of trying to recreate the ambiance from The Fellowship of the Ring after the Fellowship escapes from Moria, having had to leave Gandalf behind. I did not quite get there, I think (probably because of the profanity, but "Let Pierce be Pierce").

Soo Terrible Tuesday's events are now documented in the latest chilling instalment of Yellow King Requiem, available now in Game Journals. One of Johan's best I think so 10 spoofies awarded to the group for both the journal and some fine role playing.

I do love you all, and so does Pierce. It's just that he has a hard time expressing his feelings.
Edit: Post #100!
Edit 2: I'm up for Foo Fighters (if that's what you mean by Foos).

couple of close calls, but I think we are more or less where we wanted to be at the moment. The big question is, what to do next..?

So I am still recovering from the deep irony of this session being played out in front of our guests. And for those of you that may not have heard, their Cthulhu Keeper's name is 'Frank' so they found that highly amusing...
Anyway - this week's Pierce update really should come with a 'right to reply'so just remember that Johan loves you all really even if 'H' says otherwise...
Spoof points of brotherly love and team (teen) spirit to be awarded at the start of next session.
P.S. Anyone else interested in seeing the Foos next summer?

Doods, did you see that there is a tube strike starting tomorrow evening? Might make it difficult for us to get home...

Re: Joe - it's true we don't know what we are after, which is why the "vampire conspiracy" thing may work - it gives us a good excuse to investigate everyone and everything. "Are you a vampire-lover, trooper?" "Nein, herr major!".
Re: Firth: Agreed - it's not about staying around long, but we don't know how long we are going to have to stay around, so I would like us to have a decent, plausible, but basically unverifiable cover story that can carry us for a bit.

As Pierce / I see(s) it, the visit to the Nameless Isle serves two purposes. The first is to determine a way forward on handling Nunu-Ka, aka Stenneau, aka Big Baddie. The second (which, from the grand scheme of things, is seconday) is to get Cecile Devereaux back. Sowing confusion in the IA ranks is a means, not an end in and by itself. We have to ensure their passivity, or (why not) their cooperation, and for that we need to isolate them from their normal chain of command, and substitute ourselves. Hence that comment "our communications channels may be compromised." If they would lend us help in retrieving the Vamps, that would be nice, and very ironic.
I would say that handling Stenneau is going to require better hardware than what we have right now. That means getting guns. These may not help against Big Ass himself, but it will prove useful in "negotiating" our way through his minions. Plus, the IA Goons may have info on Stenneau's lines of communication...

I like the look of that plan, in theory. The one problem about making a detailed plan is that we don't really know what we're after. Mama was pretty cryptic about what we'd find there, only that it would be something to help us beat Stenneau (sp?). The only clear objective we have is finding Deveraux and her vampire compadres without being murdered or eaten.

Answering Gaz's question:
The vamps are departing I believe and have gone trusting that Deveraux elder will be sent on to Mama's ship via the Frost Box.
Firth's Input:
The more complex a plan becomes and the longer the attempt at deception the better the chance of FUBAR, so whilst she likes the basic concept of infiltration and bluff, the quicker the execution phase, the better. It is true that there is unease between the vampires and humans in the IA so the core rationale behind the bluff is sound.
