It's been a while since we've used these forums. So, as a starter, for those of us who joined only later, here are the relevant tidbits on Lurleen Dumont and Barney Franck from long, long ago notes (please note that the alleged authors are no longer among the party...)

Personal notes - SSA Walter Kruger, FBI, New Orleans, Oct 15, 2008

(…)
Mystery 3 - Lurleen Dumont - One of six known to the NOPD, a 26 year old hooker from Alabama, fished from the Ponchatrain a few months ago, minus her epidermis layer. One of 3 skinned bodies found over the past 3 years, the others being a student and a History professor, both from Tulane University. Now, this is pretty normal except we have a witness who swears blind that Lurleen was walking around, complete with her skin at the Dixie Cup Bar and Grill three nights ago. She got into an altercation with our Russian terrorist (Gennady Urenko - he of the unmarked head) resulting in a knife fight that put ex-boxer and Stenneau man Mark Sorbonne in intensive care. Two nights later he's meeting with Omar for a brief uneasy pow wow. Lucky break for us as it was CCTV that led us to Urenko's lair but no sign of Dumont or Omar otherwise and NOPD have dental records from the original body that make her dead beyond doubt.
(…)

NCIS Agent Paul Martikian - Personal Notes - Monday October 15, 2008, 23:30
(…)

So, Lilith's store. Well it's not short of a few books, that's for sure. So stacked in fact that she uses the Dewey library system to keep track of it all. Cutting a long story short we pulled some interesting leads from the place:

1. Her home address on Feliciana St - we probably could've got this from the BuCar CAD but hey it was a hot day...

2. Lurleen Dumont sold her a copy of Livre d'Ivonie (a BAD BAD book) for $50 - we also found a message on her answerphone from the same woman. The book is missing of course. So, the dead walk, talk and need cash!

3. A business card for a club called Cabaret Saulot with the name 'Ysabeau' written on the reverse - the card has an address on Bourbon Street but there's no such address. We have subsequently found several references on goth messageboards - sounds like it might be a place where people gather before being told where the party's at.

4. Evidence from the till and agitated messages from Tabitha on the store's answerphone indicate Lilith last being on the premises, Monday 8th October. The last message from Tabitha is Wednesday afternoon. This appears to confirm what Cassandra Locke told us this morning.

So to the shootout...my memory is kinda hazy here, except about THAT. THAT, I remember just fine - tastes like chicken haha. Yeah BIG FUCKIN' JOKE.

Yes - my understanding is we are playing as follows:

Sat Dec 11 - 2pm til 10pm

Sat Jan 15 - 2pm til 10pm

I think Joe may have problems with the Jan date but otherwise we're good to go.

We talked briefly about the weekend game on Tuesday, but I must've missed if we agreed something..

Are we still playing on the 2nd weekend in December? (that's the 10th/11th) And I think Johan was about to book his train tix for January, so lets take a peek at our calendars for possible free weekends..

Done and I can confirm that I'm available every weekend except the first (the new year).

btw, did Pierce ever worked in Chicago as a federal agent..? It's just that as Chief spent the 90s in the Marion state pen (working, mind you) there's a decent chance that our paths have crossed before..

Oh and ace diary entry again.

Don't actually shout Pierce "go Flames!" when Pierce is around. He's a Chicago boy, and as of 2009, he's still hoping for the Chicago Blackhawks to get the Stanley Cup.

GO FLAMES!

Also, excellent journal. I think I enjoyed the writing on this one the most out of any so far.

So...talking cats, a Majestic recall, Yadomejutsu, CQB, five dead guys named Mo, a wrecked apartment and ice hockey.

All in the latest journal update as Yellow King Requiem moves into its sixteenth instalment and the beginning of the end...
